USAutomatic Patriot Swing Gate Opens with Transmitter but Will Not Close with Transmitter

When the gate opens using the transmitter but will not close, the issue is most likely incorrect programming of the LCR receiver; the transmitter button has been programmed to the P2 (Free Exit/Open) channel instead of P1.

Diagnostic Check

Press and hold the LED Indicator push button on the Patriot control board, then press the transmitter button while observing the LEDs in the lower left corner.

How to Fix

Step 1: Erase from P2 Channel

On the LCR receiver, press and hold the PROGRAM button until the LED turns red. Press the transmitter button, then hold PROGRAM again until the LED turns off to erase it.

Step 2: Program to P1 Channel

< p> Press and release PROGRAM (LED turns red). Select P1 mode, then press the transmitter button. Wait for the LED to turn OFF. Test the transmitter; it should now control both open and close functions.

Tip: P1 provides full gate control (open/stop/close), while P2 is free exit/open only. Programming to P1 ensures the transmitter can operate the gate in both directions.
