USAutomatic Patriot Swing Gate Open and Close Stop Positions are Inconsistent

When the gate's fully open and close stop positions are changing and not consistent, the limit assembly inside the actuator may have shifted. First, verify that both the open and close positions are changing randomly before proceeding with these adjustment steps.

Limit Assembly Adjustment Procedure

Step 1: Access the Limit Assembly

Remove the five 5/16 bolts from the back of the actuator to expose the limit assembly.

Step 2: Loosen Mounting Screws

Loosen the 4 screws that hold the limit assembly in place (marked with yellow circles).

Step 3: Adjust Gear Spacing

Gently push the limit assembly to reduce the spacing between the small white gear and the blue gear.

Step 4: Secure the Assembly

While holding the limit assembly in position, tighten the 4 screws to secure it.

Step 5: Reassemble and Calibrate

1. Reinstall the rear housing
2. Adjust the retract and extend limits to the desired stop positions
3. Test gate operation to verify consistent stopping
