Gate Starts to Open or Close but Stops and Reverses
- Open the control box cover and locate the sensitivity adjustment potentiometer on the Ranger control board. Turn the white center clockwise to increase force.
- A setting of 8 for PRO80 or 5 for HD will work for most gates. If your gate requires a higher setting, there is likely an underlying issue that needs to be addressed. Common causes include incorrect hinges, the gate touching the ground, an unlevel gate, or a bent or defective actuator arm. Identify and correct the problem before adjusting further.
