Gate Starts to Open or Close but Stops and Reverses
- Remove the control box cover and locate the sensitivity adjustment potentiometer on the Patriot control board (refer to page 26). Turn the white center clockwise to increase force.
- A setting of 5 will work for most gates. If your gate requires a setting above 8, there is likely an underlying issue that needs to be addressed. Common causes include track debris, the gate being in a bind, or the operator chain being too tight. Pull the manual release knob and roll the gate by hand. It should move easily. If it does not, identify the cause and correct it before adjusting further.
