Gate Opens or Closes Correctly then Immediately Reverses Direction

- If your gate is traveling too far in one direction, identify which limit switch is out of adjustment and adjust it so the gate stops earlier. The limit switches are located on the limit plate assembly on top of the operator.
- If the limit switches are adjusted correctly but the gate is still not stopping when the switch is depressed, verify that the limit switches and wiring are good. Press the LED indicator and observe the retract and extend limit lights. Press the limit switch closest to the gate, which has a white wire connected to it, and verify that the extend limit light comes on. Press the other limit switch, which has an orange wire connected to it, and verify that the retract limit light comes on. If either one does not work, verify the wiring is good. If the wiring is good, replace the limit switch.
