How to Reset the Master Password to Default on a Basic Wireless Keypad

Your Master Password is the 5-digit programming code used to add or delete access codes. It is not the code you punch in to open the gate. The factory default is 11111.

Change to a New Master Password

Use this if you know your current password and just want to update it. Make sure to write it down. If you lose your Master Password, you will need the PUK code to recover access.

  1. Enter your current Master Password.
  2. Press 8; two short beeps mean it's ready to program. (One long beep means start over).
  3. Enter your new Master Password (up to 5 digits). If shorter than 5 digits, press # after the last digit.
  4. Press 8.
  5. Enter the new Master Password again to confirm.
  6. Press 8, two short beeps, and your new password saved

Forgot the Master Password? Reset to Factory Default

Use this to restore the default 11111 when you do not know the current password.

  1. Enter the factory default: 11111.
  2. Press 8; You will hear one long beep
  3. Enter your 5-digit PUK code.
  4. Press 8.
  5. Enter the PUK code again to confirm.
  6. Press 8. Two short beeps mean the reset is complete. Your Master Password is now back to 11111.

Please Note: Resetting the Master Password does not delete your access codes.
