How to Remove an Access Code from a Premium Metal Wireless Keypad

If your Premium Metal Wireless Keypad (Part #050551) has multiple access codes programmed and you only need to remove one of them, use this process. You will need your Master Password and the exact access code you want to delete. The factory default Master Password is 11111. If you do not know your current Master Password, reset it before continuing.

Step 1: Enter the Master Password and Press 7

Enter your Master Password on the keypad, then press 7. You should hear two short beeps. One long beep means the Master Password was not accepted. Confirm you are using the correct password and try again. If you no longer know your Master Password, use your PUK code to reset it back to the default of 11111.

Step 2: Enter the Access Code to Remove and Press 7

Enter the access code you want to delete, then press 7. If your code ends with a #, make sure to include it.

Step 3: Re-enter the Same Access Code and Press 7

Enter the same access code again to confirm, then press 7. Two short beeps confirm the code has been removed. To verify, type the deleted code into the keypad. The keypad light should not flash and the gate should not operate.

Troubleshooting

I hear one long beep after entering the Master Password.

The Master Password was not accepted. Check that you are entering the correct password. The factory default is 11111. If the password has been changed and you do not know it, use your PUK code to reset it. The PUK code is printed on a sticker inside the keypad.

I hear one long beep at the end of the sequence.

A long beep after the final press of 7 means the access code entries did not match or the code was not found in the keypad's memory. Make sure you are entering the code exactly as it was originally programmed, including any # at the end, and that both entries match. Start over from Step 1.

The deleted code still operates the gate.

The access code has been removed from the keypad, but the receiver may still have the learned transmitter code in its memory. If the gate continues to respond to that code, you will need to clear it from the receiver as well. Refer to the unpairing article for instructions on removing a learned code from the LCR receiver.
