How to Remove All Access Codes from a Premium Metal Wireless Keypad

If you need to wipe the Premium Metal Wireless Keypad (Part #050551) clean before reprogramming it, this process removes every access code stored in the keypad's memory at once. You will need your Master Password to complete it. The factory default is 11111. If you do not know your current Master Password, reset it before continuing.

Step 1: Enter the Master Password and Press 7

Enter your Master Password on the keypad, then press 7. You should hear two short beeps. One long beep means the Master Password was entered incorrectly. Check that you are using the right password and try again. If you do not know your Master Password, you will need to reset it using your PUK code before continuing.

Step 2: Re-enter the Master Password and Press 7

Enter the Master Password a second time, then press 7.

Step 3: Re-enter the Master Password and Press 7 Again

Enter the Master Password one final time, then press 7. Two short beeps confirm all access codes have been removed from the keypad. To verify, type any previously working code into the keypad. The light at the top of the keypad should not flash and the gate should not operate.

Troubleshooting

I hear one long beep after entering the Master Password.

A long beep means the keypad did not accept the Master Password. Confirm you are entering the correct password. The factory default is 11111. If the password has been changed and you no longer know it, use your PUK code to reset it back to default. The PUK code is printed on a sticker inside the keypad.

I hear one long beep at the end of the sequence.

If the final press of 7 produces a long beep instead of two short beeps, one of the three entries did not match. Start over from Step 1 and make sure you are entering the same Master Password each time without any typos.

The keypad still operates the gate after removing all codes.

This process only removes access codes from the keypad's memory. The receiver may still have the learned transmitter code stored. If the gate continues to respond, you will also need to clear the code from the receiver. Refer to the unpairing article for instructions on clearing codes from the LCR receiver.
