How to Change the Master Password on a Basic Wireless Keypad
Your Master Password is the 5-digit code that lets you add, delete, and manage access codes. The factory default is 11111.
This is NOT the code you punch in to open the gate. That is called the Access Code.
Manual
Change to a New Master Password
Use these steps when you know your current Master Password and want to update it. Make sure to write down your new Master Password and store it in a safe place.
- Enter your current Master Password.
- Press 8; two short beeps mean it's ready to program. One long beep means that you need to try again.
- Enter your new Master Password (up to 5 digits). If it is shorter than 5 digits, press # after the last digit.
- Press 8.
- Enter the new Master Password again to confirm.
- Press 8; two short beeps mean that your new code has saved successfully.
This is only for CHANGING the master password if you know it. If you've forgotten your current password, you cannot change it. You must perform a reset using your PUK code to restore the factory default 11111.
